Glaucoma is often referred to as the \u201csilent thief of sight\u201d. It is commonly associated with increased intraocular pressure, which gradually damages the optic nerve and leads to progressive loss of peripheral vision.
Many patients do not notice visual changes in the early stages of the disease. Without timely detection and treatment, glaucoma can result in irreversible and permanent vision loss.<\/p>\n
